Superb!! Warm welcome, super clean BIG bedroom with balcony, ocean view. Large bathroom (only one little thing: pressure problem when using the shower). We were on the 5th floor so it was very quiet. Now the breakfast was fantastic!! Large variety (buffet) but more than anything else, the quality of the food was awesome. Rarely ate such a nice breakfast in a hotel.
Pet friendly (no additional charge). Lots of parking space in front of the hotel.
NEW REVIEW: We came back and nothing has changed. Unfortunately no room with a balcony this time. Breakfast is still great but several things were missing. We chose to park our car in the underground parking of the hotel (additional charge).

The location is great en breakfast is also good! However, we had a junior suite and this room is just functional and bigger, but nothing special. Also it felted if we were tucked away in the back of the hotel. Towels were so thin that you could almost see through. This for almost 400 euros a night. Almost all personnel besides the breakfast gentlemen and the pool girl look like they ate lemon for breakfast, no smiling no friendliness. Cleaning lady did not throw away 10 empty plastic bottles that we placed next to the trash, but did throw away my leftover pizza from the day before that was in a box on our desk. Why?
Excellent location but a very rude reception, we get bluffed by the room category as we were charged for a triple room while it is actually a standard one. They even tried to convince us by putting a sofa as an extra bed an charge extra for it even the room can fit it and it can’t be fully opened to be an extra bed. The customer can’t simply discuss with them anything as the only reply that you can get is that you can leave an search for other hotel!
Beds were comfy, rooms had air conditioning. Breakfast was OK and staff friendly. Lido di Camaiore is nice if you want to relax by the sea or the pool, but don't expect diving or snorkeling. All in all a good stay.
We enjoyed our stay at the Grand Hotel and Resort in Lido di Camaiori. The setting by the beach, the spa, the food all were great. And free entertainment outside our window.
The hotel was great. Across the street from beach so you have to pay 30 euro a day to the private beach owners for umbrella. If you reserve 2 or more days in advance, the hotel has some umbrellas for 25 euro a day. The pool is old fashioned but clean and refreshing. You have to use a ladder to get in and out of the pool so it is not very accessible if you have medical needs or knee problems. The pool 🏊♀️ s not very crowded but the chairs around the pool are always reserved with other peoples towels so get down there early if you want to sunbathe. The breakfast buffet was huge and delicious. It was our favorite part of the hotel. The air conditioning was also very powerful and cold, unlike other hotels we have visited. The beds were just okay. They were too firm for my liking.
I was at the deluxe sea view room with Jacuzzi. No coffee/ facility in a €230 per night room!
You still have to pay €15 to use the spa for just 2 hours! I had a 90min full body massage by Letizia and that was very good. One of the highlights of the hotel, to be honest.
Breakfast was just ok. No other Fresh juice, except for orange. The other juice is syrup based coming from a machine. And the the most awful dinner of my travelling experience!
First the risotto I ordered for 1st course was very salty! Then the main menu Veal cheek and Polenta was awful! Polenta was burnt and tasteless and the veal tasted like it was old . The sauce was not edible at all and I almost felt like it was done intentionally. They need to fire the chef!
All in its not worth a 4* mark! Too bad really, because the structure and location is wonderful.
This hotel is pretty nice
The room is great (however too hot even after turning off the heating system)
The outside is really nice (but useless in October). The sea is at 2 min by foot.
The breakfast is really nice with good quality products.
I also had a body treatment at the SPA which was really nice.
The only thing is the price of the SPA (15 € per person) which I found too expensive regarding what you already pay for the room.
